Abstract Nicholas Baigent received his doctoral degree in economics from the University of Essex in 1986. He has taught at various institutions, including Bedford College, University of London (1972–1974), University of Reading (1974–1975), Goldsmith College, University of London (1975–1976), University College of Swansea, University of Wales (1977–1981), University of Aarhus (1981–1982), University of Essex (1982–1984), Cornell University (1984–1985), Tulane University (1985–1993), and Graz University (1993–2011).
