Abstract: Abstract Vân Đồn This chapter summarizes the results of the excavations conducted by the author regarding the trade port Vân Đồn, which appears in the historical record as having been set up by the Lý dynasty in the twelfth century, and examines the age of its start as a distribution site of Đại Việt and its role as a trade port.
