Chapter Chapter 15 in The Postal and Delivery Contribution in Hard Times, 2023, pp 223-241 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent measures to ensure global safety have drastically changed the habits of citizens and businesses around the world. Ultimately these changes have intensified the already existing trends of increased demand for e-commerce parcel deliveries and letter volume decline. In addition, many postal and delivery operators experienced widespread logistical challenges as they swiftly adapted their delivery models to both accommodate changing consumer demand and incorporate additional precautionary health and safety procedures.
