Chapter 13 in Customizing Public Transport, 2026, pp 257-260 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Demand-responsive transport (DRT) and autonomous mobility-on-demand (AMOD) represent more than mere technological innovations: they embody a fundamental reimagining of how public mobility can be designed and delivered. Through diverse case studies spanning Mediterranean urban centers, peri-urban communities, and rural localities, alongside comparative perspectives from China and South America, several cross-cutting themes have emerged.
