Research on the Development of Merchandise Trade of Guangzhou City of China

Abstract: As one of the fastest-growing cities in China, Guangzhou’s merchandise trade has been on a constant upward trajectory, which not only drives the development of other related sectors, but also improves the living standards of local residents. This paper analyses the development of merchandise trade in Guangzhou, including the merchandise trade by scale, by mode, by trading parter and by product. Finally this paper points out the corresponding countermeasures in order to improve the development of merchandise trade of Guangzhou further.
