Abstract:
With low high-quality economic development (HQED) recently, digital transformation could be the answer to this problem. Hence, this paper aims to examine the impact of enterprise digital transformation (EDT) on HQED. Based on listed enterprises in 31 provinces in mainland China from 2011 to 2021, the generalized method of moments (GMM) technique show that EDT can positively contribute to HQED. This paper puts forth policy recommendations that involve providing financial support and fiscal incentives to encourage enterprises to adopt digital technologies.
