The Strategic Mix and Its Syndromes
Raymond-Alain Thiétart
International Studies of Management & Organization, 2005, vol. 35, issue 3, 6-24
Abstract:
Strategic management results from a careful balance of the economic, political, and organizational dimensions of the firm. Favoring one dimension to the detriment of another may give rise to incoherent or even destructive strategic behaviors. The author advances some thoughts on a "strategic-mix" approach and presents a method of reasoning that facilitates strategic analysis and formulation.
