Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2013, vol. 27, issue 1, 39-47

Abstract: In this paper, an efficient technique is presented for computing the matrices in time domain integral equations (TDIE). The proposed method is the extension of the frequency domain equivalent dipole moment method to the time domain. Each matrix element does not require computing the usual surface integrals involving the expansion and testing functions, which makes the matrix generation more efficient and faster than the conventional TDIE method. Numerical results about the electromagnetic scattering from perfect electric conductor(PEC) objects are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.
