Journal of Small Business Management, 2023, vol. 61, issue 2, 265-294

Abstract: Creativity and resilience are critical capacities for entrepreneurs in today’s economy. We investigated university graduate entrepreneurs’ individual determinants such as entrepreneurial motivations and positive self-concepts in relation to entrepreneurs’ creativity and resilience. Specifically, we tested the proposed research model using a survey data collected from university graduate entrepreneurs and pre-entrepreneurs in the field of technology. Our results show that the antecedents of creativity and resilience were contingent on the type of entrepreneurs. We discuss theoretical and practical implications of our study.
