Private equity and its role in mergers and acquisitions: a comprehensive overview

Abstract: This article analyzes the impact of private equity on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes in Uzbekistan.Private equity firms play a crucial role in fostering global economic growth, utilizing strategies such as leveraged buyouts(LBOs) and enhancing operational efficiency to create value. The mechanisms through which private equity firms generatereturns, as well as the opportunities and challenges they face in emerging markets, are examined. Uzbekistan, undergoingsignificant economic reforms, presents vast opportunities for private equity investments, particularly in key sectors suchas energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure. Through thematic analysis, this article provides a comprehensiveexamination of the impact of private equity on Uzbekistan’s economic transformation and the future prospects of privateequity growth in the country.
