Abstract: This article discusses the content of innovation policy, the necessity of state innovation policy, the main directions of state policy in the field of innovation activity, the main principles of innovation policy, the basic aspects of innovation policy. The mechanisms for implementing the tasks defined by the President of Uzbekistan’s Decree № PF-55442, dated September 21, 2018, “On the Approval of the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019‒2021” are also studied.
