WAYS OF IMPROVING AGRITOURISM IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract:
This article examines the current state of agritourism in Uzbekistan and analyzes its potential as a strategictool for sustainable rural development. It reviews existing challenges in the sector and explores effective approachesto strengthen agritourism as part of the national tourism industry. Special attention is given to the role of agritourism inimproving rural livelihoods, creating alternative income sources for farming households, and supporting the diversificationof tourism beyond traditional cultural and historical attractions. Based on these findings, the article proposes practicalstrategies to enhance infrastructure development, promote active community involvement, improve training and capacitybuilding for rural residents, and expand government support mechanisms. The research ultimately emphasizes that awell-organized and sustainably managed agritourism sector can contribute significantly to economic growth, culturalpreservation, and environmental sustainability in Uzbekistan’s rural regions.
