Abstract: This article examines the investment lending activities of commercial banks under conditionsof modernization and diversification of the national economy’s sectors. Based on recent data from the CentralBank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, international financial institutions, and scientific publications, the volume ofthe banking system’s loan portfolio, its sectoral distribution, the level of non-performing loans, and the practiceof financing investment projects are studied. The research identifies the key factors affecting the efficiency ofinvestment lending and develops scientific and practical recommendations aimed at addressing them.
