Abstract: Reading is one of the most important school skills. Students who read a lot are better learner and they usually have no problem with motivation for reading. Reverse – worse learner read very rare with problems and have low motivation for reading. The article shows some examples how we systematically developed reading activities and the motivation for reading by the students with problems. Students have reading training one hour per week. Group compose up to 15 students from third, fourth and fifth class. The article also describes activities to improve reading comprehension. We prepared different motivational reading activities. The students were involved in a new, different and interesting way. Particular attention was paid to the motivation to read. Work was carried out by different teaching reading strategies.
