Abstract: Students with special education needs in primary schools are very diverse group that includes also pupils with deficits in specific areas of learning. These pupils need more motivation, visual support and individual work due to troubles with attention and concentration. School lessons should offer for them activities with games and different didactic aids to make school learning fun and simple. This contribution presents practical and creative activities (role-playing games, memory games, board games and didactic aids to develop fine motor functions) for children who have been identified as having deficits in specific areas of learning. Activities can be used in different parts of the lesson and they are suitable also for younger learners. The use of practical and creative activities has proven to be an example of good practice. Playing different games increase motivation, which has a positive impact on the learning climate. Students improve their communication skills (language and speech), team work and fine motor function. A great way to activate pupils with deficits in specific areas of learning during school lessons is also using web applications such as Photomath, Qizlet, Educaplay, Kahoot, etc. The use of applications positively influences the activity of students. Applications make learning lessons interactive and interesting for pupils, as they participate with the use of ICT devices. Working with web applications enables a more individualized approach, enables a better understanding of the learning content, pupils get feedback immediately and they have control over their work.
