Isometric Projection - Outside Classroom

Abstract: Isometric projection is being considered in the eighth grade of elementary school in the subjects of Engineering and technology. The goal is sketching and drawing an object in an isometric projection. During the ordinary learning process, students draw objects at the desk, on a piece of paper with a pencil and geo triangle. Some are more, some are less motivated during this task. Learning and teaching are important in the educational process. We know different learning styles. There are visual, auditory and kinesthetics learning styles. There are more and more children that kinesthetics learning style is dominated. Usual teaching method uses visual and auditory methods, but kinesthetics not as much as it should, because students are not moving enough during the learning process. For better motivation of my students I choose an outside classroom, where they substitute paper, pencil and seating on the chair, with asphalt, chalk and moving outside during the task. Students have been very excited on this approach, they have been extremely motivated and focused, even those who have usually less expressed mentioned characteristics. They also had fun. I have reached so good results due to using all three learning styles, especially kinesthetics and therefore motivated all students. I can say that using all three teaching styles are very important and should be used whenever is possible.
