Abstract: In vocational programs school and work intertwine. Most students in these programs have already chosen their profession, but their career path is set in uncertain times. In programs NPI (lower secondary vocational education), SPI (secondary vocational education) and PTI (secondary vocational and technical education) students decide about their professional career, but also about the many possibilities when it comes to their careers and their move to the labour market. They also have to decide whether to leave school and think about the different types of education and work. In our Career orientation activities, we begin the school year for newcomers with a two-day camp at the beginning of first month, which removes at least a part of the uncertainty one faces when going to a new school. During our courses we have implemented curricular activities in the fields of: self-discovery, getting to know the environment, decision making and transition skills. With exposure to communication and entrepreneurship we try to achieve the empowerment of individuals when it comes to making decisions in this constantly changing world. Every year students experience the process of working internships with employees at home as well as abroad. Usefulness of skills and knowledge can be fleeting in today's fast moving and rapidly changing times. That is when they need strong foundations and a sense of self-worth that will help them take the step towards changing their profession when that is expected of them or when the current environment offers it to them.
