Ann Florini: Ann Florini is Visiting Professor and Director of the Centre on Asia and Globalization at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. She is also Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. She is internationally recognized as an authority on new approaches to global governance, focusing on the roles of civil society and the private sector in addressing global issues. Currently, she is examining governance in the energy sector. Her publications include The Right to Know: Transparency for an Open World (2007); The Coming Democracy: New Rules for Running a New World (2003 and 2005); and The Third Force: The Rise of Transnational Civil Society (2000). Dr. Florini received her Ph.D. in political science from UCLA and a Master's in Public Affairs from Princeton University.
