Abstract:
ports could be among the gates of trade and economic development which have played an increasing role in Iran's economy. The study objectives are to recognize those factors that affect the selection of the best destination bulk port and to determine the significance of those factors so as to prioritize the bulk ports. In other words, the present survey introduces a multi-criteria decision-making model for identification and prioritization of criteria affecting Iranian bulk importers' selection of a port as the destination port. The methodology is made up of two distinct sections. The first section is concerned with the identification of factors affecting the selection of port and ranking them. Ranking of studied ports is detailed in the second section. In order to complete first and second steps of the methodology, DEMATLE method and analytic hierarchy process are used to complete the methodology.
