Abstract: This discussion paper is a preliminary study that seeks to determine whether the trade missions carried out by the government of Goias in the period 2006-2009 caused an increase in exports. To achieve this goal, we carried out an econometric test that used the logarithm of the value of exports as a function of the existence or nonexistence of missions in each corresponding year. It can be stated that the trade missions encouraged the flow of trade between Goias and its export destinations.
