Abstract: The review of competition theories, steady development, regional development, safety is carried out for the purpose of forming the theoretical principles providing the region competitiveness and management the competition between the regions. On the basis of their synthesis the theory of providing the region competitiveness and competition between the regions is developed, the structural pattern of its maintenance understanding is offered.
