Abstract: In the article the action of the factors, which influence the expenditures of electric power for the thrust of trains in the suburban traffic of rail transport, is described, one of the acting procedures of calculation of the standard of specific expenditures is examined, it is deficiency revealed and proposed a fundamentally new approach and economic and mathematical model of the determination of the specific expenditures of electric power for the thrust of suburban trains. The model reflects the action of the most contributing factors (operational indices).
