Abstract:
Direct zakat payment to the asnaf has been widely discussed. It causes leakages and raise the issue of disobedient to the formal institution. The occurance of this tendency is said to be due to the existence of negative perception and dissatisfaction toward formal institution especially over the case of zakat distribution. Hence, the truth of this perception has to be proven and this study analizes the effect of satisfaction on zakat compliant. The study also examines similarities and differences of zakah compliant between states in malaysia. Primer data is used and be analyzed by using descriptive and logistic model. The study found that satisfaction on zakah distribution is positively correlated to the zakat compliant behaviour. The study also found that zakah compliant between states are varies, implaying that states possess different capalities and performance in zakat management. Prime implication of this study is that in order to raise zakah compliant towards formal institution, effort for abolishing negative perception towards formal institution should be the prime agenda of Pusat Zakat.
