Abstract: Creating an indicator of food poverty and the development of an explanatory model for poverty is a further contribution to combat social rootlessness and create policies to eradicate poverty. An indicator of food poverty was developed through analysis of multivariate data such as Multiple Correspondence Analysis and Principal Component Analysis, which allowed the creation of indicators for Anthropometrical, consumption habits, Assessment and Compliance dimensions of the diet and food groups, which are then synthesized in a two-dimensional display. All these measurements were made based on the IV National Family Expenditure Survey for 2009, especially in the form ENPF 10 Eating Habits.
