Abstract:
Under diff erent denominations there is an increase of production initiative and in the provisions of social-personal rendering of services, organized by the free association and the cooperation principles of self-management and auto gesture. These organizations receive diverse appeals from third-sectors, Solidary Economy, Social Economy, Popular Economy, Social-Solidary Economy, among others. This study is non experimental, it is descriptive and documentative, where the intention is to describe the utilization of some of these terms that designate activities diff erent to those of private companies and public administrations. Also, Venezuelan cooperativism is historically briefed, accompanied by an image that portrays the cooperativism in the fi rst quarter of the 20th century, concluded by emphasizing the need to deeply investigate national cooperation.
