Abstract: This paper developed a non-survey estimation strategy of an intraregional matrix of input-output coefficients at the metropolitan scale, taking Gran Santa Fe (GSF) as a case study. The methodological strategy consists in regionalizing the national technical coefficient matrix. The data sources are the 2018 Argentina input-output table estimated by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the employment data surveyed by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina. After the estimation, the paper characterized the production structure of GSF in terms of linkages and multiplier effects. The analysis reconstructed the economic landscape of this region by identifying key, weak, forward- and backward-oriented sectors
