Excel Sheet for the Specific Factors Model

John Gilbert

Excel Models for Trade Theory from Utah State University, Department of Economics and Finance

Abstract: This file contains an Excel spreadsheet for simulating the specific factors model using Solver. Function is similar to Gilbert, J. (2009) "A `Live' Version of the Specific Factors Model in Excel" Jon M. Huntsman School of Business Department of Economics and Finance Working Paper 2009-06, but because Solver is used the production technology assumptions are less restrictive. ** Note that this early version has been deprecated. Instead we recommend using the current version at https://repec.bus.usu.edu/RePEc/uth/exlsft/SF_Live_V6_Newton.xlsx.
