Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to examine and analyze the problems of Shumen District in attracting domestic and foreign investments. For years, this indicator ranks last in the Northeastern Region. Nevertheless, the region shows trends for improvement because of municipal and private initiatives such as the construction of "Shumen Industrial Park," the activity of "Agribusiness Center/Business Incubator Shumen" and others. Looking ahead, the area is expected to grow and increase the amount of attracted investments, thereby improving its overall socio-economic status.
