Abstract:
In last decades mega-events (whether cultural or sporty) have reached a size that has made them transformative ventures for entire cities, regions, and sometimes whole countries. Their impact can be found in the economic, tourist, physical, social, cultural, psychological and political aspects of the host city or region. In view of the sustainability of some of the events, hosting festivals, Olympic Games, Football Cup, etc. becomes even more desired component of city planning and regeneration.
