Branding in Support of the Stable Development of the Region

Abstract: The text considers branding in the discourse of the regional sociospatial identification and development of regions as a problem. The specificity of creating a territory brand and the key characteristics of the phenomenon is discussed. A conclusion is made that that branding supports the creation of the conditions necessary for revealing the potential of the regional development by providing for economically, politically and above all social effects. The necessity of institutionalizing that complex and multi-factor process as an important prerequisite for its successful government is highlighted.
