Abstract: Child poverty is one of the main social problems the modern world has to face. In order to solve and provide prevention against poverty, while at the same time break the intergenerational transmission of disadvantage, the member states of EU rely mostly on their social policies using the instruments of social protection – benefits and services. Key task is through these allowances to support the most disadvantaged and promote the well-being of all children which will lead to achieving the goals set by national and international documents.
