Abstract: Ðœediation is analyzed, tracing its development from its origins to current trends and perspectives. Accent in the study of the roots of mediation is put on the types of conciliation proceedings, which are presented in a comparative aspect. The perspective of mediation lies in the improvement of its legal framework. Views on the development of legislation in this direction are presented.
