THE MEDIATION IN THE DIFFERENT PUBLIC SPHERES 2021 CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS, 2024, issue 1, 33-39

Abstract: This report examines the importance and benefits of establishing mediation centers in schools as an effective way to resolve conflicts and improve school culture. The introduction emphasizes that mediation is a process that promotes peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue and collaboration. The main strategies for successfully creating mediation centers include support from school management, training mediators (teachers, staff, and students), and encouraging awareness and participation in the process. Good practices such as conducting interactive workshops, simulating real conflicts, and partnering with the local community are also discussed. The report further explores the positive effects of mediation on the school environment - reducing aggression and violence, improving students' social skills, and strengthening trust and engagement among students and teachers. Finally, the challenges of introducing mediation in schools, including a lack of resources and resistance to change, are discussed. The conclusion summarizes that the creation of mediation centers can significantly enhance school culture by promoting social responsibility and peaceful coexistence in the educational environment.
