Abstract:
The new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union for the period 2023-2027 introduces significant changes to the structure and priorities of agricultural funding. In this context, Bulgaria‘s Strategic Plan for Rural Development (SPRD) places emphasis on promoting the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through enhanced institutional support and targeted financing. he main objective of this study is to examine the role of institutions including the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Fund for Agriculture for the necessary support, through the new interventions in the SPRDSP creating conditions for improving access to financing.
