Abstract:
The main objective of this report is to present cash flows, their analysis and management from a theoretical point of view, as well as to examine their condition in two Bulgarian enterprises - "Palace of Culture and Sports" EAD (PCS) and "National Palace of Culture - Congress Center Sofia" EAD (NPC). The aim is to analyze, compare the results and make recommendations regarding better management of company cash flows in the studied companies. Only publicly available information about the two enterprises was used, covering a time period of 3 years (2021 - 2023). The applied scientific methods are literature research, analysis, comparison and presentation of findings, conclusions and recommendations. As a result of the study, the following two more important conclusions are drawn: first - both enterprises do not manage their cash flows effectively enough, related to receivables from customers and payables to suppliers, which leads to a shortage of cash and delays and/or inability to pay off debts; second - both enterprises do not fully utilize the assets they have and therefore generate less cash flows than their real capabilities.
