Abstract: What is the essential contribution of applying project management in organizations? This question is very simple and at the same time very difficult to answer. Roughly speaking, every company needs project management that carries out projects of a certain complexity. And this is where it gets difficult, because the question arises of what level of complexity. Because complexity cannot be clearly measured. Therefore, we do not have the opportunity to assign a point system and say from some exact low or high level of complexity, it makes sense to use project management, unfortunately that is not the case. A rule of thumb is that if the project is no longer easy to understand and manageable, it is necessary to apply project management. Basically, it can be said that any company that carries out small or medium-sized projects can come to an area where project management makes sense. The case is already there for large projects organizations. That of course depends on the experience and qualifications of the project managers and project staff.
