Abstract: The report examines relative efficiency of Bulgarian port operators for 2018 in the adoption to non-parametric data envelopment analysis (DEA). The adoption is output-oriented and financial ratios based. The approach gives the opportunity for a port operators efficiency estimate taking into consideration multiple financial ratios and combining them into a single measure of efficiency. The model is solved for each port operator and the relative efficiency of each operator is determined in relation to the another ports. The results shows that the higher is port operator efficiency coefficient in relation to the coefficient to another one, the higher is efficiency of the operator. In conclusion are made suggestions based on DEA to the management for port operators efficiency improvement.
