Abstract: The development of entrepreneurship nowadays is of great importance for the competitiveness of any economy, and that is why it is important the start-up businesses and their innovation activities to be well stimulated. The purpose of the report is to ana-lyze the possibilities for financing the implementation of innovations by Start-ups in Bulgaria through European funds and the efficiency of absorption of funds. The basis is a comparative feature of funding procedures over the programming period 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The used information is mainly from Information System for Management and Monitoring of EU Funds in Bulgaria The results show that less and less Start-ups are benefiting from European funding for innovations.
