Abstract: The paper provides methodology for analysis of regional potential for development of cultural tourism at regional level. The paper reviews the types of cultural tourism and approaches for inventory of regional potential is proposed. Main elements defined in methodology include indicators for evaluation of cultural value of tourist sites, for evaluation of tourist sites state, for assessment of the status of the context and its relationship with the tourist site and main characteristics of the tourist site influencing on its tourist potential. An approach for development of tourist trails is proposed.
