Abstract:
The current tendencies for the development of tourism are based on the desire to overcome the territorial and temporal disproportion of Bulgarian tourism through the development of specialized types of tourism. They are part of a number of strategies and programs. In this respect, anthropogenic tourism resources can be a key factor. The purpose of this paper is to outline major guidelines on the importance and prospects of anthropogenic tourism resources for the sustainable development of Bulgarian tourism. We have made quantitative and qualitative assessment of anthropogenic tourist resources in Bulgaria and highlighted the mainaspects of their importance for the development of Bulgarian tourism. The main problems are defined, as well as perspectives and recommendations for their future exploitation and use, not just corresponding to the concept of sustainable tourism development, but contributing to its real fulfillment.
