FACTORS AND DRIVING FORCES FOR DIGITALIZATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN CONSTRUCTION

Silvia Parusheva () and Yanka Aleksandrova

INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE "CONSTRUCTION ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND REAL PROPERTY", 2021, issue 1, 75-81

Abstract: Digitalization and the processes of digital transformation are changing the face of all sectors of the economy, including the construction sector. Their performance is influenced by a number of driving forces and factors that stimulate these processes. In construction, the impact of driving forces is identified as the pursuit of operational efficiency, the realization of additional revenue, customer satisfaction and others. The influence of internal and external factors on the digitalization of the processes in the construction company, as well as national and international factors is significant. Concepts related to the „Internet of Things“ and „Smart Cities“ as well as the European Green Deal have an important impact on the processes of digitalisation in the construction industry.
