Abstract: Human capital is a specific form of an organizational asset that represents the economic value of the individual employees’ skills and knowledge. Employee commitment defines to what extent the organizations succeed in engaging their employees to retain in the company and apply individual skills and knowledge in achieving the desired organizational goals. Along with the technologies, the workplace and the organizational environment is changing rapidly. Due to the realized innovation, and creativity importance, commitment, and human capital will be more critical company success factors than ever. This report raises questions on the relationship betweenemployee commitment and human capital development, and the considerations related to these two phenomena in achieving better organizational performance.
