IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON DEFLATIONARY TRENDS

Abstract: The current research explores the link between digital transformation, artificial Intelligence and deflation. The aim of this paper is to prove that technological progress in recent years can lead to a lasting period of deflation in near future. Also, itshould be mentioned that it was made an attempt to distinguish between the so called "good" and "bad" deflation, which is essential for better understanding of the consequences from the digital transformation. Last but not least it is conducted a detailedanalysis ofthe basic AS-AD framework, as well as the historical records from the last decades up to nowadays. This will help us to predict what will happen to the economy in the era of the 4thand 5thIndustrial revolutions. Special focus is put on the labor market.The overall approach of the study is based on current globalization trends.
