Abstract:
The global changes in industries due to the fast development of technologies cause social, political, cultural, and environmental changes that reflect on the formation of generational groups too. Knowing that each generation varies in values, expectations, needs, work attitudes, and others. This study aims to outline the place and role of the Millennials as human resources in contemporary tourism organizations, as well as the specific type of management to be applied. Presented are the specific characteristics of the group generations as employees. Pointed out are the behavioral features of the Millennials at work as human resources in organizations. Specified is their role as employees in the tourism industry and the challenges related to their management. Suggested is the application of human resource management best practices in managing Millennials effectively.
