INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE "HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT", 2024, issue 1, 53-66

Abstract: The green transformation that Europe and the world are looking at places green jobs as a key area. They cover a wide range of activities in different sectors of the economy, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, water management, green construction, and others, and contribute to the development of an industrial environment based on clean and sustainable technologies, which has a long-term positive effect on the environment and society. Despite the positive prospects, challenges also arise in the implementation of green jobs, which can be characterized as technological, economic, social, and political. The purpose of this paper is to define the term green jobs and trace the current state, prospects, and challenges of green employment based on an empirical study.
