Abstract:
The importance of learning analytics in modern higher education is increasing, especially after the growing interest of learners in electronic and distance learning. These changes lead to an increase in the amount of empirical data for student’s behaviour which offers new opportunities for data analysis. The proposed paper justifies the need of building a unified information infrastructure in higher education institutions, in order to improve the process of collecting, analyzing and interpreting data related to the education and the behaviour of students. The use of artificial intelligence in the analysis of that data helps to identify patterns and trends, which would lead to the creation of personalized educational strategies and improved quality of education.
