Abstract: The topic of this article is related to issues connected with public roads. The thematic scope of the work includes the presentation and analysis of the legal regulations governing the acquisition of real estate under provincial public roads. The purpose of the article is to carry out an analysis of the legal and technical regulations governing the entire process of acquiring real estate along these roads, and assessing their completeness, adequacy and coherence. The analysis was carried out in the aspect of a number of operations, technical activities and the requirements of government agencies operating in the field of public roads, in an aim to manage and carry out investments on provincial roads. The paper presents and elaborates on problems connected with the acquisition of real estate along provincial roads on two levels. The first involves the regulation of the legal status of the existing regional road network from the 1st January 1999, while the second is the implementation of new road investments within the network of provincial roads.
