Abstract: This article reviews the degree of progress in financial regulatory reform and proposes new areas for inclusion in the reform agenda. It assesses the changes and responses to the proposed structure in the European Union and further discusses current responses to the financial crisis and new regulatory issues that require attention in the global reforms.
