Tanzarn in Monographs from The WorldFish Center Abstract: The WorldFish Center and FAO are implementing a regional programme entitled "Fisheries and HIV/AIDS in Africa; investing in sustainable solutions", funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Uganda, the Department of Fisheries Resources will provide the institutional support. Considering its role of overseeing the mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS, the Uganda AIDS Commission (UAC) will play a key role in the national coordination of the project. The responsibility of the Lake Victoria Fisheries Organisation (LVFO) will be to ensure that stakeholders from around the Lake actively participate in the discussions and that the recommendations arising from the project are of regional significance.
