Abstract: Nach einer merklichen Wachstumsabschwächung zwischen 1973 und 1985 hat die Weltwirtschaft seit Mitte der achtziger Jahre wieder an Dynamik gewonnen. Diese Entwicklung dürfte sich auch im Prognosezeitraum 1988/1993 fortsetzen. Bei relativ stabilen Zinssätzen, Wechselkursen und Rohstoffpreisen wird die Weltproduktion um 3½% und der Welthandel um 6% pro Jahr expandieren. Für die Industrieländer erwartet das WIFO bis 1993 ein jährliches Wirtschaftswachstum von fast 3%.
